MIDTERM PODCAST DUE–

PLEASE UPLOAD TO EITHER GOOGLE DRIVE OR DROPBOX AND SHARE THE LINK WITH ME TO SUBMIT. I NEED ONE SUBMISSION PER GROUP.

Podcast requirements:

Podcast should be between 10-15 minutes. I am looking for a very short podcast where you focus on a small topic amongst yourselves. The team will be required to work together to do the research using the methods we have learned in class (which you will need to provide me a bibliography as a group on the day of the presentation in hard copy.)

Find the most interesting aspect of your topic and tell us why it matters. It doesn’t have to be something that is obscure. The biggest trial of this assignment is to make a self contained podcast that is

  • interesting to listen to
  • within the time limits
  • everyone contributes to it

The goal here is to think about the consumption and explanation of history in a quick and accessible way. As always, please contact me if you have any questions or issues.

After Class

Think about the uses of mapping historical data. Not all of your final projects will be capable of using it, but if they can, what information can it add to history projects? Is there value to you in mapping? Think of the Digital History projects we’ve talked about that use mapping. What did the uniquely do that maps helped with? Does it change their arguments? Let’s also consider this: maps are old. What’s new about this? (200-500 words) DUE MARCH 25 BY 5PM
